New Cascade Website – Updates

It’s been a few months since we launched our new website, and we’ve continued making improvements to create an even better experience. In this blog, we’ll highlight some of the latest updates and features so you can get the most out of the website. While the items below represent some of our recent enhancements, our team is continually working to improve the site and deliver the best possible experience.

Tool Tip

As you navigate the website, you’ll come across several helpful icons, including the Tool Tip icon. The Tool Tip graphic has been updated to a bright orange square, making it easier to spot throughout the site.

Clicking the Tool Tip icon will display a helpful message, like the example shown below. These tips provide additional information and guidance related to the page or field you’re viewing. You’ll find Tool Tips on product pages, in the shopping cart, and during checkout on the review screen, where they provide relevant information for specific fields and actions.



Downloading CSV Files

To download a CSV file of your order history, navigate to the Order History page and click Download CSV.

If no filters are applied, selecting Download CSV will export your entire order history. To narrow the results, use the All Statuses dropdown to filter orders by Open, In Progress, Completed, or Cancelled before downloading.

For even more specific results, you can use the Select Line Item Statuses filter to refine which line items are included in the export. Applying these filters before downloading allows you to create a CSV file containing only the information you need.


Sorting by Backorder

One of the features many customers used on our previous website was the ability to quickly identify purchase orders with backordered items. While this functionality was not available when our new website launched, we’re happy to share that it has now been restored.

To view backordered items, navigate to the Orders page. Instead of using the All Statuses filter, which filters at the purchase order level, select Backordered from the Select Line Item Statuses dropdown and click Submit. The page will refresh to display only purchase orders containing backordered line items.

This enhancement eliminates the need to open each purchase order, select Show Details, and manually search for backordered products. It’s a faster, more efficient way to track outstanding items and stay informed on what’s still pending.


Compare Feature

Another popular feature from our previous website has returned, the Compare Feature. This tool makes it easy to evaluate multiple products side by side, helping you identify the option that best meets your needs.

To add a product for comparison, navigate to a product page and locate the Quick Links section on the right side of the page. Select Add to Compare to add the product to your comparison list.

As you add products, the comparison icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen will update to display the number of items you’ve selected. Please note that you can compare up to four products at a time.

Once you’ve added all the products you’d like to compare, click the comparison icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen to review your selected items (shown in Image 2). When you’re ready, select Compare Now to open a side-by-side comparison page (shown in Image 3).

The comparison page provides an at-a-glance overview of each product, including the supplier, pricing, product description, and key specifications, making it easy to identify differences between products. From this page, you can add your preferred product directly to your shopping cart or print the comparison chart for future reference.
